Help launch the next generation of Canadian home performance professionals

As a national credentialing organization for residential energy efficiency retrofit and weatherization professionals, we recognize that knowledge, skills and abilities are prerequisites for successful work. That’s why BPI Canada’s comprehensive standards for home performance installers are used as the basis for home performance curricula by independent training organizations throughout the country. BPI Canada does not provide training directly to individuals. Instead, BPI Canada reviews facilities and maintains relations with organizations who serve as proctors and field examiners for the BPI Canada credentialing examination process. 

 Educational programs, including classroom theory and hands-on field training, are provided by independent training organizations, including private companies, community colleges and local not-for-profit agencies.

Prospective students should evaluate the knowledge, skills and abilities provided by a training organization in order to be confident when challenging exams or when performing the quality of work demanded by homeowners and energy efficiency incentive programs.
